Motorola set to launch Razr HD on Sept. 5 2012

Google’s Motorola has added another release date to the list of smartphones release dates in September. Motorola alongwith Verizon announced a press conference on the 5th of September which means they will be unveiling something that day.

Motorola and Verizon event

The Invite sent by Motorola and Google clearly states, ‘On Display’ , which means that there might be a new cellphone released that day.

With the current trends and rumors, this speculated smartphone could be Motorola Droid Razr HD, successor to the Droid Razr. The presence of Verizon in the RSVP means that the phone will be released through the Carrier.

The Invite holds a picture of the place for the event, New York’s Gotham Hall.

Rumored Features of Motorola Razr HD

The Smartphone is likely to hold a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor along with a 1 GB RAM. This places Motorola’s Latest phone right amongst the big boys with Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and HTC One X using the same processor.

The Camera, previously speculated to be of 13.1 MP, will now be only of 8 MP, according to recent reports, which is surely a disappointment for user.

Motorola will be providing an external memory slot, as per its tradition in the phone, unlike the HTC One X which doesn’t support external memory.

The battery, like the camera, is also speculated be smaller then the earlier reports. The screen will be a staggering 720p with a Super AMOLED large 4.8 inch display for a clear usage.

Finally the OS, will  be the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 (since Motorola is owned by Google), standard in all the latest smartphones with a speculated 4.1 Jelly beans update in 2013.
