Samsung to Release Android 4.1 Jelly Beans for Galaxy S3 this in October

Samsung, a world competitor in smartphones market, is working tirelessly to produce latest tech. improvements. The company has been on top this year with the release of its Galaxy S3 smartphone thus completely overwhelming all the other releases of the year. The South Korean company is now looking to improve its megahit smartphone’s performance by introducing an upgrade for the S3. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is to made available for Galaxy S3 which will not only increase its performance but also include the addition of features of the highest quality.


The News was broken by Sammobile, revealing on their website that Samsung was set to release an upgrade of Android 4.1 Jelly Beans for there all famous Samsung Galaxy S3. According to the website, there source, coming from within Samsung, told that the update has already made it through the initial phase of testing and  the it is now being worked upon to test it on public samples.

Samsung Galaxy S3 currently holds a the very latest version of Android, 4.0.3, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich. This is currently the best version of Google’s operating system, running on its smartphones like galaxy S2 and users are quite satisfied with it. However, with the ever-growing increase in Cores of Smartphones, it is necessary that the firmware in the smartphones can utilize the potential of the Cores. That is the main reason why Samsung plans to launch an upgrade for the phone.


The release date for the upgrade for Galaxy S3 is not being announced until Google gives it approval. Speculations are being made that the upgrade will by out at the end of October, or somewhere in Q4. The upgrade is also set to be released for the previous version of Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S2. The phone is still popular and has active devices in millions all around world. There is also a possibility of Galaxy Note getting this update. The Website states that upgrades for these smartphones are in early testing phase and might be released at the end of the year.

The Android 4.1 Jelly beans has been released on Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and there might be a chance the The Galaxy Note 2, to be unveiled on Aug 29, will be released with a it. The New Android firmware has many new features, including Google Chrome default browser, Improved Photo viewing, better NFC chip interfacing methods & Power Voice Recognition tool  to navigate through the phone easily.

Although all these are but speculations, not much can be said about the release date after all. If we go through Samsung’s history of releasing updates, it hasn’t been the best. It is very likely that the update might be delayed and could even be released to 2013. Similar situation occurred for the Galaxy S2 and the upgrade it got, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich,  was after 4 months of the release date in some countries.

The Android 4.1 will definitely be a sight on the Galaxy S3 and its arrival will be awaited anxiously
