Samsung Mobile Unpacked event took place in Berlin where Samsung Announced their upcoming Gadgets. Among those, surely the most popular and most anticipated was the Phablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was unveiled on Aug. 29, 2012, making all the speculations regarding its announcement true. Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung’s ATIV S where the two smartphones that were announced.
IT HAS A STYLUS!!! More on that later in the story!
The Galaxy Note two holds a whooping Exynos Quad-core processor, clocked at 1.6 GHz. To Compliment this powerhouse GPU, Samsung has fitted 2GB RAM in this Phone. Pretty Amazing!!!
With a 5.5” HD Super AMOLED display, Samsung is making its screen quality state of the art. The resolutions of the screen are 1280x720p with a 16:9 ratio, making it a worthwhile experience.
The Camera is a standard 8MP in the rear with capability of recording HD Videos. The camera is very smart with features like Best face. If you take a pic of 10 people, you can specify which face to give more importance to in the picture.
The design, is clearly inspired by the Samsung Galaxy SIII. With a standard plastic design and round edges, this phone has better finishing then the Galaxy Note 10.1. Although it is larger in size and a little thicker then the SIII, it is still quite sleek with 9.4mm of fatness. Despite such slim design, the phone house a marvelous 3,100mAh battery to ensure longer usage.
Android Jelly Bean 4.1 is the OS of this Phablet, and its damn fast!!!
The Galaxy Note 2 is a Phablet, focused to provide the feel of a smartphone and a tablet. Samsung have ensured that its users are not disappointed. The Phone includes a stylus with S note applications which are optimized on the new Jelly Bean OS.
The S Pen Stylus has features like the ‘Air View’. Its simple, just bring your pen above then thing you want to get a ‘Air View’ of, and it will show you whats in it. For example you want to see calender entries for a day, bring your pen above it (don’t touch it) and it will show it all.
The other features include an Quick Command. All you have to do is sweep your stylus upwards and its opens a command box. write a command (which you can set yourself), like to call or send a text message and it will be done
Easy Clip is another feature lets to crop anything from anywhere and paste in to other contents, and its smart as well because it understands clearly what you want to crop and does it for you perfectly.
The phone is announced in variants of 16, 32 and 64 GB and holds a slot of a micro SD as well
Europe will get it in October, US will have to wait. We will keep you updated regarding its release.
