Apple says no to YouTube app in future iPhones and iPads.

apple ends youtubeRecent release of iOS 6 beta 4 shows that apple has removed the YouTube app from its operating system. It had been there since apple introduced iPhone and was launched in 2007.Critics call it as a response to Google's growing market share.Apple had been making moves since long to cut down its competitors ever growing market reach. This move has put users questioning of how apple plans to cover up for this lack of a widely used video resource. But apple has gone beyond their way to make compensations by developing in home applications.

This news does not come in as a shock as apple had already replaced Google maps with their own 3D maps program in iOS 6. And most importantly iPhone’s siri has greatly threatened Google’s user data collection.Yes you heard it right siri isn't just a voice interactive application but a great tool to intercept user’s queries and Google them on their own behalf via apple servers. This puts Google in an awkward position as user search info graphics is what Google practically lives on.You might be wondering about this gradual and constant cut off of Google from apple products.Well to that the reasons are simple: Back in 2007 Google and apple entered into partnership with Google serving search, videos and maps on apple’s products. The partnership was very fruitful for both until Google made a bold move and entered the smartphone market as an apple competitor with Android.Even after being rivals Google continued to enjoy apple’s huge customer flow through its then native apps in iPhone. And it is firmly believed that Google makes more money from apple users than Android users ! Naturally apple cant let that happen and they have responded in their own style.
apple no youtube app
Apple made a statement about this change : ”Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.”
And YouTube responded:”We are working with Apple to ensure we have the best possible YouTube experience for iOS users.”
Cutting off competitors isn’t most important, maintaining one’s own business value is .So what has apple done to satisfy its costumers ? apple will have to surely work pretty hard to maintain the user experience that users have had previously. And Google will most probably be updating the app store with a much more reliable and efficient Google maps and YouTube app.We wait in good hope !
