It’s a crazy time for the tech. world with announcements and rumors from almost everyone. Recently Amazon has handed out invitations for a September 6 event at IFA Berlin 2012 which is likely to be the day when we will see the new Kindle Fire.
The invite doesn’t specify any release but with almost an year since the first tablet kindle fire was released so it is high time for the US based retail giants to release its sequel.
The first kindle fire has been a major success and has taken 22% of US Tablet market competing with the likes of iPad. Now with the Google Nexus 7 in the market as well, Amazon has decided to release to tablets in the market according to latest rumors.
As the announcement for the press conference was made, a rumor hit the internet regarding the release of two 7” tablets of Kindle. This has been released by CNET who say that this news comes from a person who has seen the products.
One of the 7” tablets will be quite similar to the previous one with a change in the OS and a low price tag while the other one will the next real kindle with features like HDMI support, a front camera and most important, a faster ( most probably a quad-core) processor.
There were initially rumors of a 10” tablet along with a 7” version which was to take on the might Apple iPad, but it looks like that Amazon has read the phrase “know your place” and has instead decided to take on the Google Nexus 7 with the lower price tag version of the kindle.
Recently, Amazon had announced that their Kindle Fire were all sold out which is a clear measure of their success. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said in a statement.
"We will continue to offer our customers the best hardware, the best prices, the best customer service, the best cross-platform interoperability, and the best content ecosystem."
