HTC announced their latest smartphone series based based on Windows Phone 8 OS. This is the clear sign on Windows Phone 8 revolution. The phone will be available this November for $199
The device was annouced by HTC CEO Peter Chou who focused on capturing moments of Life and how HTC has worked on its phone to make it possible.
The device has powerful dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor buffered by 1GB RAM to make the OS run smoothly but as you know, Windows Phone 8 is probably the only OS which gives freedom in hardware.
A 4.3-inch 1280 x 720 Super LCD 2 display with Gorilla Glass 2 coating and 341 ppi ( greater then the iPhone 5), HTC 8X is the best in the business with a polycarbonate body which gives it a look similar to the Nokia lumia series. The smartphone is extremely attractive. The size and dimensions fit in well in the hand with 10.12mm thickness and has smooth edges to make the grip more comfortable
The real deal with this smartphone is its rear Camera. With 8 MP, the camera has features that only lumia 920 can match. With a f2.0 lens which is 44% faster then f2.4 lens, the camera can shoot in a whisker. The Image sense technology enables the phone to load the camera and take a snap in just 0.7 sec and it auto focuses in just 0.2 secs. It has a powerful HDR for low light as well. The front camera is a 2.1 megapixel and both camera can record HD videos
HTC has also provided a separate camera button for its users to turn on the cam quickly and it can take photos during the video as well. Not only that, you can put your photos in Dropbox as HTC 8X provides a 25GB storage for its users
It holds the Windows Phone 8X, the X included to label it as HTC’s. But the OS is much similar to the stock WP8 found in other WP8 devices. Microsoft needs to give an open architecture like Android to make its OS more popular among Smartphone manufacturers.
The Phone has beats Audio and standard features like swipe to share and NFC as well. It also holds a dual mode in order to perform basic mobile phone tasks while using its smartphone abilities
In the U.S. the phones will be available at T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon while 150 other carriers around the world will have this phone.
