Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update

Verizon has just started to roll out the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update for its users of Samsung Galaxy S3. The Carrier has made the update available OTA for its users and it will either appear in the notifications or Users can go into Settings > About device > Software update to find the Update

Verizon announced the updated on their blog today, stating that the upgrade will be made available to customers in gradually and updating will be completed in a few weeks

The update brings several features to the device. The most highlighted features included
Google Now – A smart App that answers your queries and searches according to your style

Notification Update – The Notification panel comes with added features including returning missed calls and email from within the notifications panel.

Camera App update – The Camera app updated to give a pause feature to capture all moments in a single video

ISIS mobile payment system – NFC Based payment system that allows you to pay using your phone

The Carrier has been very late in its Updates with International Versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3 running on the Android 4.1.2 Version. Even the Users of the Samsung smartphone in UK got the Jelly bean update in October.
