So the Mobile World Conference has kicked off and we have our first device, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. While the poster of the device was leaked just before the event, the Device went official one the Mobile World Conference Started. Competitor of the iPad Mini, the device is set to hit the shelves in in Q2.

The Note 8 houses an Exynos 4 Quad with 2GB RAM (clocked at 1.6GHz)and 2GB of RAM. The device sure has enough steam to run the best of Apps and of course the MultiView option of the Android Jelly Bean.
Camera & Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 sports an 8-inch 1280x800 pixels display clocking 189ppi pixel density. The device is in the same size range as in the iPad Mini which was at 7.9 inch and almost the same resolutions.
The 8 Inch Tablet has a 5 MP camera on the back, accompanied by a 1.3 MP frontal cam for video chat.
Sized 8.30 x 5.35 x 0.31 inch, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is fairly comfortable in usages. The device considerably thin but it is slightly thicker then the iPad Mini. Also the Footprint of the Device is much larger then Apple’s Tablet. This is mainly due to the Physical Home and Back Button
The Samsung Device comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Running on the top of the Android is the Samsung TouchWiz UI which has been revved up with many new features. Along with the S-Pen the Overall interface of the device is magnificent. CNET is of the view that the OS to be similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
The Dual View mode has now been made more efficient with the no. of supported apps increased. Pop Up Play, Smart Stay and Page Buddy, Samsung has added in Flipboard, letting you preview news by hovering over with the stylus.

The S-Pen Functionality is great. With a separate slot for it, the S-Pen has all the functionalities present in the Galaxy Note 2 and More. The Stylus now can let you access physical(home and Back) buttons without touching them. With features Air View and MultiView present in the tablet, you cant just put the S-Pen away
Housing a 4,600 mAh. battery, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. A gyroscope, accelerometer, and a digital compass are also included. The tablet will come in both 16GB and 32GB varieties and is set to launch in Q2 2013
