Philips Launches the DesignLine TV: A Glass pane for a TV

The World of Technology is filled with Innovations and improvements. With Television experience moving from the 3D to the Ultra HD Era, Philips has taken it to a completely new direction. Announced by Philips is the new DesignLine TV series, which is nothing more then a Glass Pane.

The Preview Video of the Device states it as an Object of Desire. The practically Seamless word signifies how the design is almost a glass with some Black gradient in the lower part.

Available in 46 and 55 inch screen sizes, the Philips DesignLine televisions have an LCD display behind the Glass Pane. The TV has an active 3D technology for Full HD 3D. It has under its hood a dual-core processor powering Philips’ Perfect Pixel HD engine and boasts Micro Dimming and Local Contrast, suggesting LED backlighting.

The TVs also have Smart TV features including Wi-Fi and a remote control with pointing capability and built-in keyboard. The Wi-Fi also allows wireless streaming to and from notebooks, tablets and smartphones using the different Philips applications.

The TV also has Philips’ Ambilight 3-sided XL technology which puts out light in three direction similar to the colors coming on the screen.
