Nokia has a media event announced in London for 14th May 2013 which is going to be the unveiling of its Window Phone 8 based Lumia flagship, Lumia 928. To create media hype, Nokia first put up a billboard at an not so famous place in the US and now it has officially released the first Print media banner and a Website ad featuring the Nokia Lumia 928.
The Nokia Lumia 928 appeared in the Vanity Fair Magazine with a link of Nokia website which later became active further confirming Nokia's next Lumia.
The ad holds the tagline stating,
“EVEN IN LOW LIGHT. Nokia exclusive PureView technology, Optical Image Stabilization and high-end Carl Zeiss lens. Capture and share amazing blur-free photos and videos, under any light conditions.”
The Camera Techs mentioned in the tagline are heavyweights will Optical Image Stabilization featuring in Nokia 820 and 920, Pureview featuring in the Nokia Pureview 808 which had a 41 MP Camera while Carl Zeiss has been been around for sometime with features in Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800.
Nokia's claim of best Low Light Imaging Camera can be considered seriously now with all these features combined.
While smartphone companies leak a picture or maybe a small video, Nokia took a different approach by setting up a Nokia Lumia 928 billboard in the US. Maybe leaking information was just too mainstream for Nokia!
Why has Nokia released a ad ahead of the event in London? That might be due to the Nokia event schedules or May 9th in Delhi which might see the Nokia Lumia 928 reach the Asian market before the West. Nokia's has large market esp. in South Asia and this time it may try to reward its loyal Asian customers first.
