Many tech companies including Samsung have been showing off curved and flexible displays at Tech conferences for a long time. After Samsung Galaxy Round, LG has also announced its first curved display smartphone called LG G Flex.
The LG G Flex was announced in Korea today and will be available next month on three Korean carriers.
The smartphone has a 6-inch 720p screen which is curved from top to bottom instead of side by side like the Samsung Galaxy Round. The battery of the LG G Flex is also curved. Other specs are quite similar to LG G2.
Running on a massive 2.26 GHz. Snapdragon 800 processor, LG G Flex is a high end smartphone. The processor is supported by a 2 GB RAM along with Adreno 330 for impressive graphics. The LG G Flex has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is LTE enabled.
There is also a feature of self healing back cover (more like Ultron of Avengers). The press release states that a special protective film on the back cover is designed to get rid of scratches on the phone within minutes. We can believe it only when we test it.
