Samsung had been showing different curved displays in Mobile World Conference and CES since the last few years but now they have finally put it in a smartphones. Today, Samsung announced the Galaxy Round in Korea with a curved Display.
The smartphone comes with a vertical axis curve in the screen and will come to SK Telecom in South Korea.
Samsung Galaxy Round has few exciting features due to its curved display. As called ‘Round Interaction’ by Samsung, the smartphone shows all notifications, battery life and time when it is titled on a flat surface. The Galaxy Round is first step in flexible displays and several features will arrive as technology develops.
Other features of the smartphone are similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 3 including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with quad-core Krait CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, and microSD card slot. A 13MP camera has been given similar to Note 3 along with a front shooter of 1.3 MP.
The device will surely come to the international market following its hype but there is no confirmation of the release date nor its pricing.
