A new trend in the smartphone market is the ‘Mini’ series. Started by Samsung through their S4 Mini, each year, along with a flagship, smartphone manufacturer’s release a ‘Mini’ version of their flagship. After the S5 Mini was released by Samsung, LG announced its miniature version called LG G3 Beat / G3 S.
The smartphone has two names, LG G3 Beat for Asia and LG G3 S for Europe.
The Chip inside the G3 Beat is the humble Snapdragon 400 with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor and an Adreno 305 for a GPU . To support the chip is a 1GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal memory.
LG G3 Beat touts a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display. This turns out to give a modest pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. The Mini version of G3 also has very low bezels with a screen-to-body ratio of 74.1%.
Coming with a Battery: 2,540mAh which is removable, the device also packs a microSD card slot for memory expansion. A modest Rear shooter of 8MP with Laser Auto Focus is in the LG G3 Beat Package along with an essential Front 1.3MP camera for video calling.
The G3 Beat will be first available in LG’s home town i.e South Korea , where it will storm the markets starting July 18. The new LG smartphone will have three color versions avaialbe, black, white, and gold.
