You remember Nook Tablets by Barnes and Nobles? Incase you do, they are back but this time with Samsung. Barnes and Nobles today announced a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Tablet costing a mere $179 with $200 worth of Barnes and Nobles content preloaded to make the device lucrative.
Coming in Black and White, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook is a first Nook device after Barnes and Nobles decided to quit making Nook Tablets. Earlier this year, however, they announced that they will release Nook devices in collaboration with Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy tab 4 Nook is basically a Galaxy Tab 4 currently in the market with some free content. It includes three e-books, three TV episodes, a $5 Nook store credit for apps or movies, and some special offers for digital magazines.
Here is a recap of the specs of the Galaxy Tab 4. The devices runs on a Quad-core 1.2 GHz with 1.5 GB RAM and 8GB of storage (expandable through MicroSD). The screen is a modest 800 x 1280 pixels, 7.0 inches, good enough for reading. The Interface of the Nook tablet is not standard Android. Instead it’s has a layer on the Android which makes it a typical book reading tablet.
